We would like to thank our newest Signers - Timothy Richardson, Stanton Bell, Steven Kershaw, and Heather Thornton!

There are nearly one million people in jail in the United States for non-violent activities related to the use, possession, cultivation, transportation or sale of marijuana. The purpose of this site is to make available a place for everyone who supports the idea of Nojailforpot to sign his or her name, and make it proudly public for everyone to see. The people below have taken the significant step of putting their names to this important declaration, for all the country to see.

Besides the points made on your home page, this war on drugs is destroying the rights of American citizens. Consider the attempt of police to have random roadblocks to check cars for drugs, know your customer, conivore, the Kubby trial, and the many people killed by police and DEA in their swat team activities. Dear Lord, grant our people the wisdom to see the error of these laws, to understand that people must be allowed to be free to act as long as they hurt not their neighbor, and that government cannot correct the perceived ills of our society. Amen Sorrells

Years of flawed policy have destroyed lives, relationships and trust of people (especially young people like myself) here in the US and devastated numerous societies outside of our borders. Those entities and people with interests in continuing this country's unjust and inhumane "war" need to be informed of the consequences here and abroad. Let the movement touch them and shake them down.

It makes me sad that every single day i see or hear about new people that get into the system for something as natural as marijuana. Many of my friends have been in legal trouble because of this, and i STRONGLY believe that marijuana is not as bad as many people think it is. No one has ever died from a marijuana overdose, and it makes me wonder why alcohol is legal and pot isnt. Hell ciggarettes are more harmfull and if you dont believe that, just go out and smoke yourself a vaporizer bong. I would love to see this sites purposes come to life not because i'm a pothead, not because i like to get high, but because so many people are sufforing from getting caught having a good time with something that dosent even hurt anyone.

Lets see...Marijuana...and Hemp...two plants that can survive in many conditions and can grow well in many parts of the world. These plants have many uses ranging from the creation of medicine, to clothing, to paper, and even a possibility of a cleaner fuel. I think we should ban these oxygen producing plants in favor of cutting down more tree's and drilling for oil. Hasten our own self destruction for the love of money to prevent our disease from spreading past this planet.

It's not a war on drugs, It's a war on people. An attack on the freedom of an individual to do as he or she pleases. It simply dosen't make any sense!!
