Alcohol does so much more damage that pot. I truly believe that responsible marijuana use can help greatly with anxiety and depression and a person (and that person's family) is going to be vastly better off if he/she comes home after a rough day at work and smokes a joint instead of slamming down beers or liquor. In the words of a friend of mine who happens to be a judge, pot is illegal merely because no one in government has figured out how to effectively tax it.

I see no reason pot should be legalized it helped me greatly while i was going through Chemo therapy. I have smoked pot since I was 13 I finished school went to college raised a family all while smokin pot. But i never thought about the medicinal effects until I had to go thru Chemo and I truly believe it saved me I could eat and drink without nasea if i smoked first if not I was sick for hours and not eating it was misery. Pot is also a wild plant or herb other herbs that grow wild are not illegal what about the people that are addicted to prescription pills from their DR. now thats legal I have friends that have lost everything because of pill addictions now that should be illegal
